Immediately after your Lasik surgery…

At the end of your surgery, if the doctor feels it’s necessary, they may place a bandage contact lens on the healing eye. After this, you are free to walk out to the recovery room. The entire surgical process takes approximately ten minutes for one eye. After 3-5 minutes, the doctor will examine the eye just to see how your recovery is progressing. Your eye will be examined again in about 10-20 minutes. Your surgeon will insist on staying on top of your immediate recovery to make sure everything is progressing as it should.
